Back in 2020, I set out to write my own book on web content management systems (CMS). Over time, I worked on the chapters little by little, in an unstructured way and with plenty of stops and starts. All those efforts have now led to the very first edition of my book, “Gestores de contenido (CMS) para audiencias masivas en 2025.”
I call it the first edition because I still believe it’s missing a few chapters and it could benefit from another round of proofreading, not to mention a skilled designer who could make it a bit more reader-friendly. However, the content—which is the most important part—is already of good quality.
This is a reference book, the kind you can keep on hand in the newsroom and consult whenever you need a specific chapter: maybe you’re about to start a migration, refine your taxonomy, or optimize multimedia elements.
The content draws on over two decades of my personal experience, as well as on articles I’ve been publishing for more than six years in CMS MAG—a publication recognized by the industry—and on Deane Barker’s book “Web Content Management: Systems, Features, and Best Practices.”

The book also paves the way for the master’s program I’m preparing (in Spanish) that will begin soon, focusing on CMS and Digital Experience Platforms (DXP). The first students have already signed up and anyone interested in web content management can now request a spot.
