Time flies. Before you know it you find yourself pushing fifty and that, whether you like it or not, gives you some experience. Enough to know that if the plan in a company or another organization like a political party is to cut costs, then you had better look for another party or company.

Someone I do not know said that the best things in life are not things. A book I read recently told me something similar by advising me not to invest my leisure time in things but in experiences. Things come and go, they deteriorate, they make you suffer, especially if they are very expensive and demand a lot of maintenance and attention, but experiences leave indelible marks in the memories of those who live them.

I often come across media outlets that get in touch with me, wanting the best CMS for their needs on a very tight budget. The problem is that price often becomes the primary factor in switching and choosing a CMS, and in an attempt to save a few hundred euros, they end up spending thousands.

Since I launched CMS MAG GPT, I’ve been like a kid with a new toy. I’ve uploaded over six years of content and can’t stop asking it tough questions. This time, I asked for its take on the ongoing nuclear war between WP Engine and Matt Mullenweg (Automattic). The answer—spoiler alert—is a resounding reproach for Mullenweg.

Yesterday, I had the honor of once again—three years in a row now—giving a class on web content management systems to the students of the Master’s Program in Digital Journalism and New Professional Profiles at Rey Juan Carlos University (Madrid). I couldn’t be happier with the experience, the students, and, of course, the excellent teaching staff.

I’ve been wanting to write this opinion piece for a while. On August 14, Dries Buytaert, the founder of Drupal, announced that Drupal Starshot would officially be renamed Drupal CMS. Honestly, I think it’s a big mistake.
