Trump “buys” the Stargate project from OpenAI
Donald Trump’s first days in the White House have been extremely eventful. Regarding artificial intelligence, the U.S. government has announced that it will push forward with the Stargate project from OpenAI, SoftBank (the Japanese multinational and one of the most well-connected tech investors worldwide), and Oracle (a leading data center provider, now finding that AI places it at the forefront of the industry).

It’s not news to learn about OpenAI’s agreements with media outlets because they are made public.. What’s less transparent is the amount and details of these agreements, which generally remain confidential under contract. The novelty here is that the payment made to the American group Dotdash Meredith has now been disclosed.

We’ve long anticipated that OpenAI would launch its own search engine soon, and now it’s here. After a brief trial period (for which we weren’t selected), the company led by Sam Altman has decided to roll out SearchGPT. Rather than a standalone product, however, it’s integrated within the well-known ChatGPT interface.
