We have obtained access to a new 2025 Magic Quadrant for Digital Experience Platforms (DXP) compiled by the consulting firm Gartner and we can reveal that several significant changes have emerged compared to the previous version.
Although the top three DXP solutions remain the same—Optimizely, Adobe, and Acquia—this time, according to Gartner, Optimizely has pulled ahead of Adobe, while Acquia settles into third place, losing some momentum in the process.

Further down the Leaders tier (though slightly less prominent in project execution) are Sitecore, Contenstack, Magnolia, and Uniform. Meanwhile, Liferay, which has a considerable footprint in Spain, is just shy of entering the Leaders quadrant.
Opentext and HCL Software stand out a bit more than the rest for their project execution capabilities. Below them are other companies such as Progress, Kentico, CoreMedia, Contentful, Builder.io, Squiz, and Pimpocre.
Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Digital Experience Platforms is a leading industry report that evaluates providers meeting a comprehensive set of business and product criteria. It uses a robust, 15-criteria methodology focusing on the providers’ Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision to assess their performance.
The Gartner Magic Quadrant for DXP also provides a visual representation placing vendors into one of four quadrants: Leaders, Challengers, Visionaries, and Niche Players.
- Leaders: Perform well against current market realities and are well-positioned for the future.
- Visionaries: Understand where the market is headed but still have limited execution capabilities.
- Niche Players: Successfully focus on a small segment or lack innovation that exceeds the industry average.
- Challengers: Perform well today and may dominate a large segment, but do not yet demonstrate a clear vision for where the market is going.
While the Magic Quadrant focuses primarily on the U.S. market, its data and conclusions can also serve as a reference for companies in other locations.
